Super Smash Bros Universe Screenshot of Skyloft's Bridge

Hey guys, I thought I’d share with you a brand new Super Smash Bros Universe screenshot from the new Super Smash Bros Universe game for the Wii U featuring Wii Fit Trainer and Megaman. As the two newcomers face off they find themselves on the bridge in Skyloft which was the main “land” in Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword.

A closer look at the stage from the new Super Smash Bros Universe game coming out sometime in the summer of 2014 gives new details about the stage and what it has in store for new gamers of the franchise and old gamers of the Super Smash Brothers games.

Today’s screenshot from the official Super Smash Bros. website‘s daily updates depicts two of the series newcomers, Mega Man and Wii Fit Trainer, facing one another in the Wii U version of the game. The pair are in fact squaring off in Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword‘s Skyloft stage.

Series director Masahiro Sakurai, who takes all these screenshots during development, said on Miiverse,

An encounter in the middle of a marathon…?

The image offers a close-up view of Skyloft’s bridge, and it’s looking so detailed that it’s almost as if the characters have been hacked into a HD version of Skyward Sword itself. Notice the Loftwing soaring in the distance, too!

Who knows? For all we know the Loftwing could swoop down and knock off opposing players or knock everyone off of the stage during battle. All in all I think the stage is an awesome change from previous ‘castle’ stages noted in the previous Super Smash Brothers games. I personally can’t wait to try out the new stages.

That’s all I have for you guys on the topic of the screenshot from the Super Smash Bros Universe game. Reminder that the game doesn’t have a specific date just yet, but it is due to be released in the summer of 2014. Make sure to check back often for new stuff just like news about the Super Smash Bros Universe game.
